Raiding Experience

I started raiding during Wrath Naxx, I became serious about raiding in Ulduar but my guild was not ever able to kill Yogg. Nothing much changed during ToC, but towards the beginning of ICC content i became an officer of my guild and helped lead raids there. I wasn't happy with our progression in my old guild so at that time I joined Recoil as a tank and have made every raid since.

I enjoy tanking because to me, it seems like a very important role. By taking on what i believe to be a more important role i feel that i can help contribute by having a perfect attendance.

Questions

You will need lots of consumables to keep up with the pace during progression raids. Do you have the will and time to put in enough effort to keep an adequate amount?

Absolutely, i come already prepared with flasks of stoneblood, indestructible potions, i haven't been bringing my own food to raids but that is something i can very easily change.

Will you come to a progression raid having already read any available information relevant to encounters?

Of course i always come to new content being able to explain fights to their fullest.

What do you think about beginning raids early and staying beyond the required raid times to down new content?

I have no problem with this idea and would welcome it.

Not quite being that it is in arena, but i am able to play all three of warrior's tree at a sufficient level.

Absolutely i have always had the mindset for whatever is best for the guild

I want to join for the progression and because not everyone in my guild is putting forth the effort that I do.

Yes, you can normally find me on every single day with the exception of holidays or holiday weekends.

Are you able to take and improve upon harsh criticism?

I welcome it, if i fucked up i need to be told without somebody trying to be nice about it. I am also very open to suggestions and i usually try to read the forums that have to do with my class.

There will be bench time. Everyone will have to sit at one point in time or another. Are you okay with this?

I am perfectly fine to sit the bench if thats what it takes to down content.

Why are you interested in joining Acquired Taste? do you currently know anyone in Acquired Taste?

I have only really talked to Murderkitten. I have looked up to you guys since transferring to Akama, I also hope to improve myself and become and even better player.

What are the other guilds you applied to? any particular reason why you are shopping for multiple guilds?
I have not applied to any other guilds, mostly for the reason stated above.

You've got good gear, and you come with a recommendation from someone in the guild. The problem I have is twofold; First is your experience. I have a really hard time believing you're what we're looking for in a main tank for our guild, since you just started serious raiding this expansion. Based on the small amount of time you spent on your application, I'd assume that you don't care enough to make the effort necessary to perform at the level we'd require. Second, you're 18. Most of us are in our mid-twenties. We don't have any obligations that keep us from raiding, and we're all consistent. People just getting out of highschool usually don't know what they're gonna be doing 6 months down the road, and especially in the case of a Main Tank, that is not the kind of recruit we're looking for. If you can somehow alleviate my concerns, then maybe i'll reconsider...

Although i do not very much experience compared to what you are probally looking for, I have read about my class and I've managed to not only join the top guild on my old server (drak'thul) but become a very important part of the guild.

Even though I realize this expansion isn't very hard compared (in most opinions) I feel I have learned a lot in the time I have been playing.

Regarding my age, i started school a year late, so i will only be a senior this year and i will be planning out my colleges early in the year. There will not be conflicting issues with school and my attendance, i always plan around my raid times.

I never found anywhere that the cloak is BiS although from my personal preference and armor on it i can easily see where it could be. I may have been looking in the wrong places, i had always assumed the i277 cloak (http://www.wowhead.com/item=50718) from blood princes was the BiS and was likely to go to me on its first drop. Since you brought it up i will for sure look into it first thing tomorrow and probally pick it up after an icc.

Also, i apologize for the horrible app format, Murderkitten was told by Effie that i could have an app run but just to app online anyways, i mistook it as a formality, i apologize a thousand times over.

Meh i do not know this guy personally nor can i vouch for him or care if he gets in .. but , he was mentioned as a tank that might be interested in joining. I msged him about it and He seemed cool. His gear was at a good point (cept the shit cloak). I told Eff " eff this tank from recoil is prolly gonna app and he has decent gear except a shit cloak" and eff said "tell him trial tuesday". so i guess he figured he could just app just to have it. meh but he went back and put more time into it. i mean i dont see why we couldnt try the shitty cloak out in action.

We have no warrior tank . and lack tanks for that matter cept when slott is a Burr!. the lack of experience scared me also but hey slott has been playing 2 months. for the last how many months? ! :). He cant be that bad ? or Can he?

people in AT should know what gear is good, and should then get it.. especially when it's easy to get like that
