Rotation w/2 piece

So Irie and I tested the different rotations with 2 piece/2 piece/crafted legs and this is what I found:

From Highest DPS --> Lowest DPS

1. 4 Arcane Blasts --> Arcane Missiles (regardless of Missile Barrage procs)
2. 2 Arcane Blasts or 4 Arcane Blasts then Arcane Missiles (depends on if Missile Barrage procs after 2 Arcane Blasts)
3. 2 Arcane Blasts --> Arcane Missiles (regardless of Missile Barrage procs)
4. Arcane Blast until you get a Missile Barrage --> Arcane Missiles

So, for me, the new rotation of Arcane Missiles whenever you get the Missile Barrage proc does not seem to be best DPS.

Also, the new watching for proc is retarded... Most of the time I'm already halfway through my Arcane Blast cast before my mod picks the Missle Barrage proc.

How'd you guys test it? Just wondering cause Kavan's findings on EJ are shown below, and they are important because they show dps and mps differences.


000000000010: 8066.7 dps, 188.2388 mps = ABSpam4MBAM
000000001010: 8015.443 dps, 150.9306 mps = ABSpam24MBAM
000000001110: 7974.454 dps, 131.7854 mps = ABSpam234MBAM
000001001110: 7672.111 dps, 59.78621 mps = AB4AM234MBAM
000010001110: 7353.106 dps, 22.29167 mps = AB3AM23MBAM
000100001010: 6856.622 dps, -17.98341 mps = AB2AM


-While ABSPam4MBAM may be the best dps, it is also almost 1.5x the amount of mps to do it.
-ABSpam24MBAM is a little less dps than this, but much better on mps.
-Finally while ABSpam234MBAM is even less dps, it has the best mps of all 3.


I find ABSpam234MBAM the best cause it offers the best dps/mps combination, since having to evoc at all will f up your dps (and it's a safeguard for when you don't get an MBAM proc for a long time and have to keep casting AB at 4 stack); and because of t10 2pc buff, it isn't that much less dps. It's only .5% less dps than ABSpam24MBAM, and 1% less dps than ABSpam4MBAM, while being 15% more mana efficient than ABspam24MBAM, and almost 50% more mana efficient than ABSpam4MBAM.

Also I personally recommend against doing AM without MBAM proc, unless you've been spamming AB for quite a few times at 4xAB stack (best to use own judgement on mana management).


Lastly his other finding is also important to note.

AB spam is no longer optimal. The values for AB spam for comparison are 7882.308 Dps, 696.4657 Mps.

So even if you have mana to dump towards the last say 15% of the boss, it isn't best to ABSpam, and instead best to switch to something like ABSpam4MBAM.
